Let it Rain, by Tracy Chapman -- some pictures of Asheville, NC included. (High Quality recommended)

Lyrics:

Let it rain
As I walk these streets unknown
To no one named
Not even myself
When I'm low

Give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most
Give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most

Let it go
No mother no father no home
Forget as all others
Have forgotten
When I'm alone

But give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most
Give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most

Let it come
Love that lifts me up
Pain that brings me down
Everything I'd ever want and don't
When I'm not strong

But give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most
Give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most

Let it rain
Let it flood these streets and wash me away
To where it makes no difference who I am
Or what the future holds
When I don't know

But give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most
Give me hope
That help is coming
When I need it most

  • Her music was ingrained in me growing up, my mother has been listening to her since 1988 the year I was born. she saw her in concert and afterward she saw her out behind the Hult Center and my mom yelled " I Love you Tracy! " She replied, "I love you too man." and then gave my mother her pick. Now after my mother has passed her music has guided me through and kept me comforted. my mom always said Tracy sings her soul, and I can still hear her singing to tracy's songs. an inspiration and comfort

  • @tsorensen2004 you are never to young to be a fan of music. Music is about your soul and age cant define what your soul feels. I have been listening to Tracy Chapman since I was your age and now Im 30 :D

  • I listen to this every day. Just makes me feel better and not so along.

  • Oaky so i know at tweleve im to young to be a fan but she is awesome!!!

  • @recyclehound

hang on to the music my friend. life without it would be dull and unbearable.

    good luck

  • @superstarhot23 I think she does, in the sense that God gave her the voice and talent to sing songs of the heart, to touch people, to relate. In the lyrics written out above, she sings about pain and love, and getting through it all. I think as the human race we can all relate to that in a spiritual way too! Life is hard but we keep going.

    Peace

  • Give me hope :0(

  • Stunning beautiful song with such lovely photographs to go with it
