  • alot of bands from the '60s dabbled in the psychedelic art form.. country joe specialized in it..no band could get in the psychedelic groove and wind it out so good as the fish

  • @burtontool Well said. I've felt that way about many bands over the years. The best advice I can give you is : never pass up an oportunity to see a band you love. The actual concert may be not so hot but at least you will have been there. I speak from experience, I had a ticket to woodstock and didn't go. Been kicking myself in the ass ever since.

  • Pensar que Country Joe estuvo tocando con los Jaivas en santiago......que tiempos

  • Oh man, the classic lineup: Joe, Barry, David, Bruce and Chicken. Electric Music was the greatest psychedelic album of all time,

  • This song takes me back to my Haight-Ashbury days in San Francisco in 1967 and 1968. I loved it!

    Peace & Love

Oh! One day after they turned Haight St. into a one-way because of all the tourist coming into the area, Country Joe got a truck with a flatbed trailer so he could set the band up on it. As they slowly came down Haight St., they were playing this song. I'll never forget that!

  • @bklynwmn: Great record! The story he told about the band's problems with the law was funny.

  • Was at the Bitter End a few years after this and saw Joe make the Incredible live Country Joe album. They served ice cream sundays. 150 people smoking and eating ice cream Joe laughed a few times and started songs over.

  • @kharmakreep That Barry "The Fish" Melton is a vastly underrated performer in his own right! see @4:00!!

  • YES! Peers, does he, at the crowd! He locked eyes with me in 1972 at the Evansville, IN Ice Cream Social and not long after that i truly do believe my life was CHANGED, man! Born again! Washed in the blood - - of the Lamb!
