@SciFive co2 is not bad and not a pollutant - and not the driver of temperature - it does not cause temperatures to rise - more co2 just means better plants - no problem

Yes - increasing temperature does cause an increase in CO2. But if you think this means that the effect doesn't also work the other way you are totally wrong.
What makes our current situation so dangerous is a positive feedback effect: more CO2 => higher temperature => more CO2.

the medieval warm period was warmer than now - with high co2 - what caused the high co2? Industrialisation? co2 is the result - the product - not the driver of temperature increase

Mooners40's argument is that because life requires CO2, adding CO2 to the atmosphere is not a problem. This is like telling a drowning man that he has nothing to worry about because water is vital to life.
Yes - life on Earth is totally dependent on CO2 both because plants use it to manufacture food and because it keeps the world warm. But CO2 is potent stuff - just 280 molecules in each million air molecules is all it takes. It doesn't take much additional CO2 to have a dramatic impact.

I think fuss about global warming is to hide the fact that the world is running out of oil. we are all so dependent on it the taxes and warnings are used to ween us(the bottom 80%) off it so the rich can use as much as they like. if the world was told the truth that peak oil had been reached, there would be wide spread panic and economic collapse the poor and middle class are sold the line about global warming to reduce their consumption while allowing the rich to carry on with impunity.
