Intro to Second Life

Im really sorry to all you second life lovers but this is kind of a rip off of the sims games no offense though but the sims 2 and 3 are just a little more entertaining.

Is Second Life free, or is it pay to play or..What? I want to make some crazy shit on there. The reason why so many people like virtual is you can do almost anything that you couldn't do in the real, boring life. But if life gets me down, I smoke a bowl and feel great again about life and it can last for weeks for me.

it's free Vulcan. and you don't have to be on there all the time like some people think. that's the only reason I'm a member. I'm not on there enough to pay a monthly fee.

Millions have signed up? The people who sign up to second life are the real misfits of society...surely if a person enjoys life, then he/she wouldn't have time to waste on a pathetic game which does nothing but consume people...anyone who plays second life and can say it adds to their life, as oppose to basically consuming it, then I would be shocked...I pity you, and the millions of other misfits who play this game so religiously...is your life so worthless that you must waste it playing this?

not really man, you just have to limit your time playing it. I don't spend fucking 40 hours a week on a playstation game any more than SL. you're talking about addicts...not everybody is like that. and yes those cases are sad.

The growth of second life, as small as it is, does show how pathetic we are as a species...for people to sit on a computer all day and night, to walk around a game (well it's mostly misfits of society who play this game, in reality). This game does not add anything to ones life, instead it consumes you, you could say it's just another way to keep people occupied from the world around them, like the retard who plays with crayons because he can't function in the real world...I pity people who play

im into action. lots of violent angry shooting, with blood and brains exploding onto walls. Huge explosions of fire and smoke. i see none of this in this game.

It is whatever your imagination wants - some people just party and shop and some people just chat. Other people build virtual imaginary places and still others make things to sell. Why not try and explore it before you judge it.
