  • ADD just means you don't want to listen to boring, uninteresting crap in school then that's what your totalitarian dictatorial teachers label you as!!

  • hmm?

  • Same thing happened at my uni, though I hardly thought it necessary to create a youtube video. It's to be expected considering we've not used technology for that long.

  • was your lecture actually about the use of technology in education? This was presented by one of the gurus of tech in ed. The video is poor quality, but it was still a very ironic thing to be seeing when sitting in that theatre. Many people were shuffling in the awkwardness. Several left.

  • argh! I just removed your next comment, and it was a good one too :-/

Who is the tech kultz now ... irony on irony

if you can go back, back and repost it would be appreciated :)

  • found it in my email

Hah no, I don't think he was a guru, but indeed the lecture was on the uses of technology in education. You wouldn't have thought the course was voted 3rd best in the country for teaching education/teacher training. I dread to think how other universities are perfoming. Ouch.

  • @socratus1 : That's funny word play. But stupid. Let's just agree that physicists are the first ones to get a clue about what the nature is really like. They're also the ones responsible for giving you the computer, the industrialization and the internet - and although the stupid little cartoon in the end tried to say otherwise - computers are the greatest invention we've ever made (perhaps contested by the internet).

So yea.. No denying it really. Studying and thinking does get you somewhere.

    The situation in Physics now

The more I study the more I know

The more I know the more ideas I have

The more ideas I have the more they abstract

The more they abstract the less I know the truth

  • After reading some scientific ideas:

The more I study the more I know

The more I know the more ideas I have

The more ideas I have the more they abstract

The more they abstract the less I know the truth

And therefore conclusion from some article:

One of the best kept secrets of science is

that physicists have lost their grip on reality

  • Do this over video conference and you would save petrol, time, effort and a neck ache.

Of course, use a stable platform such as linux, not windows tat.

  • another irony, prob already pointed out, the fact you were using much more amazing technology to create this than the projectors they were using.

  • that is exactly what i was thinking!

  • That is why I work in only Mac environments when ever possible.
