I already have the Stereo Box Set and I really wanted the Mono Box Set for this Christmas but I didn't get it :( I had $50 and I went to a store a couple days ago and I saw the Mono for $99 and I asked my mom if she could please help me buy it but she said no :( I was so mad,I want the Mono Box Set so bad!

Love The Beatles in STEREO and MONO. I have both box sets and will switch off on 'em whenever I am in the mood. Just listened to "A Hard Day's Night" from the mono set last night and while I love it, I find the stereo to be a tad more exciting. I've actually discarded those resealable sleeves because they were just getting annoying after awhile. I mean I'm not protecting the ACTUAL LP sleeves and the slick cardboard material doesn't get ring wear so what's the point besides novelty?

@SirHatchporch Well you have to buy it for as cheap as you can as long as its new and REAL! You know
to my surprise that has been one item that has been forged. You can tell if yours is by visiting "Beatles mono
box set" on Youtube and they unpack a fake one and let you see the difference in them. I think you have to be careful now buying anything. I had a Hag Hauer watch and put it right up against a real $1900 one, no difference. I called the Tag Heur company. They didn't make that!!!!!!

@SirHatchporch is it youtubes coding that makes it look like that, or does the camera video look the same as well (sorta like film quality)?
no yellow submarine or let it be?

@TrueGamerXL Indeed. "Yellow Submarine," "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be" were never released in true mono, so they're not included in the box.

The mono versions were never intended to be sold at "discount houses" like Best Buy,WalMart, Target and the like. They were specifically intended to be sold at finer record stores. I guess a lot of the record stores had folded up and put out of business by these crappy discount facilities so their marketing had to change a little. Luckily, there was one record store left in my town and none of these discount stores had it. I bought the last mono version for $249. They said they had only receive

@abbey2772 Sadly, there are almost no record stores where I live anymore. There are two indie stores around, but they're small and each is at least 20 miles from here. If I want to buy music, I usually take a road trip to Los Angeles and shop at Amoeba, which is huge and has pretty much everything. However, they sell the mono boxes for far more than places like Best Buy.
