Great update Dave! I own a condo in Sosua and I was in town Dec 8-31 and everything you said was spot on. Keep up the honest and informative reports. Oh I like to get a capachino at Cafe Cubano and watch the people come and go into Menegrie. Not as noise as the Winners circle.

First time i went to sousa in july we flew in from santo domingo it was almost a 5hour ride and the hills twist n turns got me car sick we had to stop the cab 3 times for me to threw up lol. Second time i went to POP it was so smooth ill never fly in anywhere else other then POP

@mcjon77 next time instead of taking a cab straight to sosua from santiago, take a cab to the metro bus station for 700 pesos then take the metro bus to susua for 150 pesos. Only a 1:30 hour bus ride.The bus station in sosua is across from the texaco station and one block from Pedro Clisante. I saved alot going that route. The cost of flights to POP from NY are insane. Flights to Santiago are much cheaper

Yes, very safe there, and i'll be there in a few months. Love me some Sosua/Puerto Plata. Once i flew in into Puerto Plata and flew out of Santo Domingo, wasn't that bad, caught the Caribe Bus for about 8 bucks, then a taxi to the airport from the bus stop was about 15 bucks. The only thing that sucks, is that you have to leave early from Sosua, so if the plan leaves at 2pm, you have to leave Sosua at 8am. That cuts into girl time! I'll stick with PP airport from here on out.

Shouts out to the best that ever did king cubadave. I was out there for 5days this time i went alone and i had one of the greatest times of my life sousa its all love out there for those that havent been there i advise u to go its heaven of earth

I made the mistake of flying into Santiago during my first trip to Sosua 5 years ago. Any money I saved was lost in the Cab ride, like you mentioned.
