@HiddenAnimeHOTD i tend to give the benefit of the doubt about what bands want to call themselves, but that's just absurd. lol. (I still love Dookie.) Metal isn't a matter of how acceptable something is, like I really don't like Atreyu or A7X, but i'd be a fool to say they weren't metal.

@HiddenAnimeHOTD I feel the same way, to each their own, however your argument is illogical, you don't have to be a gunsmith to think a gun doesn't shoot straight. You don't have to use your own skills as a standard for judgement. It's just important not to be a pretentious ass about it Taste is not a competition. The more you like the better your life is and that is the real win.

@HiddenAnimeHOTD I completely agree with you, the majority of metalheads that do this I find are elitist idiots getting into all this technical bullshit. From my point of view the idea of genre itself is just stupid. My problem, albeit slightly hypocritical, is what passes for metal today where it's all that "emo" bullshit. Although I respect some of the playing skills I don't have any respect for the music.

@Dreadnaught2021 I personallly listen to anything that sounds good, In Flames, Disturbed, SoaD, Galneryus, Atreyu, A7X, etcetc. I just find it stupid people bash on good bands, when they themselves can't make a musical tone out of their shitty body.

It makes me laugh. Anything that isn't heavy metal/Black Metal isn't metal to people. People widen up a little hahaha, just because every band doesn't have a double bass drummer or a vocalist that doesn't growl in every song Doesn't make them "non metal" or "posers" their just a different Category.
