One of the two best performances of the Cantiga I 've heard. Decameron avoids the traps of pseudo-piety, and boring academic, conservatoric, museum-like approach, that haunts most of interpretations, managing to present a genuin folk song in its vitality and beauty: Full of mediterranean, iridescenes of half-christian and half-pagan devotion and mysticism, folksiness and hidden erotism, delicacy and roughness.

It's an effort that should be widely known and commended.

@DafniElissa The other interpetation my friend, is very difficult to find. It comes from a Serbian (Yugoslavian) group called "Ensemble Rennaisance" - unsurpassable in my most humble opinion in its approach to medieval music.

When I manage to learn how to make my own videos, I will upload it for sure, for it is almost impossible to find their cd "Gems of Medieval Music" recorded in 1993...

@ser11562 Se llama Baldosa, y se cree que posiblemente las cuerdas eran de latón (a diferencia de la mayoría de los instrumentos de la época). Saludos desde México, hermosa interpretación.

The instrumental part is excellent. Really. What distracts me is the vocal part - the girls can't sing in highs,they should stay in their normal voice range. The main singer doesn't know how to use falsetto voice, which really spoils the performance.
