Baker Spring of The Heritage Foundation explains how the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) would create a bureaucratic International Seabed Authority with the power to regulate trade, exploration and America's authority to defend herself.
The real question is how to deal with global issues at a local level?
In a world where all nations are so intensively connected with virtually an integrated economy how to deal at a domestic level with crisis such as the current financial turmoil and the looming economic recession whereas the triggers are at a global level?

whatr good is the Un doing America ? They do not support us when we need them why would we wabnt to get any deeper involved with them ? tell them to get lost. We have to defend our country the Un does not help us. Burn this treaty

Can't believe this isn't commented on more. This is a horrible direction our country even considers. Move the UN out of our country, period.
