I bought the album by Smokey with this tune on it in 1967. What an album and think about it I was only 16 yrs old ! I don't like today's music at all. I listen to You Tube or my own CD's, etc but I never listen to the radio. Sad, really.

I certainly wasn't 16 in 1967, I was actually born 15 years later, but I LOVE Motown and also hate the "music" they put out today with very few exceptions. I wish I was a teen in the 60's!

This song NEVER gets old, and is probably my favorite Smokey-composed tune. Others have done well by it too (Linda Ronstadt, for example). Smokey not only has that melting voice and talent but those gorgeous green eyes!
