Hollywood (JB Love Story) Chap 20

Kaile's POV
"Yang, I'm going to the bathroom, brb." I said and made my wayinto a small building with a long hall to the left which led to the ladie's room. I was half way in the hall when I felt someone grab my arm. I wanted to scream, but he covered my mouth with his other hand and pulled me into his chest. He finally uncovered my mouth and said, "It's me, Joe." I was still mad at him and said, "Jeez, can't you just say 'Hey, Kailes!' Like a normal person instead of grabbing me in silence like a peadophile?" I could see Joe was angry, but I continued walking, not remembering he still had hold of my arm.
"Come back here damn it!"
He yelled out with a firm tone, at the same time throwing me into a wall and holding tighter to my arm so I couldn't escape. I have to admit, I was scared of him at that moment. "W-what do you want!?" I managed to stutter. "Don't make me look like the bad guy! I just want to talk to you!" I stared into his dark hazel eyes and they were filled with fury, but they soon softened and he released some force on my arm. He rested his other arm against the wall and began to talk.
"Ever since Taylor came, we haven't gotten along." I wanted to talk back like I always do, but I managed to bite my tongue, I knew he hated when I was wise. "I'm sorry you hate Taylor so much, I may never know why, bu-" Then I interrupted him. "Cause she's a bit-!"
And angry, again, he interrupted me. "Can you listen to me!? I don't want to get involved in your quarrel, but... I want to be friends with you. Skye has been forgiving, and you and my brothers have gotten along so well... I want to be part of that."I didn't want to ruin the moment, but I couldn't help, but think to myself, I couldn't believe Joe knew what the word quarrel meant, but anyways. I couldn't believe what he said, it broke my heart. Truth is, I didn't want to fight with him either. This wasn't his fault, I didn't like him hanging out with her, but I had to deal with the facts.
I could feel the warm tears rolling down my cheeks, and Joe finally let me go. He wiped my tears with his thumb and I dove into his arms and wrapped my arms around his back. He held my head and my back tight with his arms and I could feel my heart began to race.
After a while it began to feel awkward so I finally said, "I umm, really gotta go..." I smiled a little and he said. "Oh." And we let go of each other. We both smiled at each other and Joe was about to run back to the course, but he stopped in his tracks and turned to me and said, "Oh, before I forget." He kissed me in the cheek and ran back. I touched my cheek, wondering. Was this real, or was it a friendly kiss? He only had eyes for Taylor, and I was going to have to get used to it like it or not.

*Everyone finally back in their busses, concert next day so they're on the road in their own busses*
Skye's POV
"Sooo... Spill!" I said to Kailes. "Spill what? My O.J? I don't think so." I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Don't get smart with me, what happened with you and Mr. I-Love-Hair-Irons?" She chuckled a little, but we both knew he loved those things. "What I'd reeeally like to know is, what's up with you and Nick?" My face immediately turned red. I should've known she'd turn the table on me. "Hey, I asked you first!"
"Well, I asked you second, and I'm older!" She was sitting on the living room couch and I was sitting on the dinner table chair, we began to laugh at our stupid back and forth fight and I jumped over to the couch and hugged her.
"We should get to bed Pepper, we have a looong day tomorrow." She was right. We went into our bunk beds, and I tossed and turned trying to sleep, though all I could think about was Nick.
