Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church all my life, however I still have conversion story of my own. The gospel of Jesus Christ is something that each individual person has to learn about on their own. I've always had a belief and faith in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but it wasn't until I was almost 18 years old and I decided that I needed to pray to the lord to know if this was his true church. I received an answer that was as real as life itself and a confirmation that this is his only true and living church. At that moment, I knew that I would never be alone. There is no doubt in my mind that God loves us and that Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for us, so that we can be redeeemed through him. If I was not a member of this gospel, I would be lost and would not have the assurance that families can be together forever. There is no greater joy than a family. God still communicates with his children today, all we have to be willing to do is ask and listen.

There are a lot of misconceptions about mormons. Its the fourth largest church in the country and yet most people have no clue about what Mormon's really believe or who they are. This is just letting people know more about the religion. No harm in that. :)
