the corn grown for food is grown with the intent of creating a crop thats edible and void of parasites. corn grown for fuel is grown with the speed and quantity in mind, not quality. dont mix the two up. i wouldnt use it as food even for animals. with all the chemicals used on the fuel corn, the land is contaminated for generations.

@abece444 Gm foods are a good thing and anyone who says otherwise has no understanding of biology or agriculture

@wikifacts Use a search engine, Einstein: mice sterile GM Foods. There's plenty of studies and info, even on MSM, regarding sterility among many other diseases.
5 pounds of wild mackerel is used to raise 1 pound of Franken-salmon, if you call that efficiency, you might have eaten too much GMF already.

@wikifacts Hey, a-hole. I don't need to wish you stop procreating. Just eat the freaking GM Foods, you'll either end up sterile or you'll have idiots for children, although in your case, stupidity might very well genetic.

There's so many ways to produce ethanol... corn is one of the worst, but there's a corn subsidy on top of the ethanol one.
Also... corn is a shit food.

switchgrass is better for producing ethanol to replace gasoline anyway.American perennial grass grows naturally and it can be farmed to deliver more than five times more energy than it takes to grow it naturally

they only use the starch. how much starch do we really need? now if the protein was lost during the making of ethanol then i would change my opinion on ethanol. but it isn't. nothing goes to wast. we do need to learn to manage our land better. that is why i think they should legalize industrial HEMP. way more fuel per acre and if their is 25000 different uses for it than their should be millions of ways to make money from it. i can think of many different uses for INDUSTRIAL HEMP.
"One-sixth of the world's corn supply is burned in American cars."
If we are talking about GM Corn, then it's better burnt than eaten. End GM Foods and Monsanto.
