  • all i know is since this vid...ive added way more cam292 xfi, way more gear (4.56) a full spool, chromoly driveshaft, about 30+hours of datalogging, a 4k stall 9.5" converter with a performabuilt trans. i was hoping for mid 11's if i can feed it enough fuel, and at 30psi fuel pessure with a vacuum reverence hooked up to the regulator to keep it from dieing at idle, and a tune based around that...i get great throttle response and can burn my et streets as good as the cheap radials

  • Funny video. Too bad I know everything about these trucks and youre trying to make it seem more potent than it is. Recalibrate your vssb module so the speedometer is right and stop posting vids like this unless you can back up your claims. My 95 z71 is maxed out with a 388 stroker and a 4 bbl 750 tbi that makes 426 hp 456 ft lbs... And a bigger cam is not possible, trust me, I've done the research and tuning!

  • @GearheadZ71 I got a burn1 prom burner from moates bitch with an adapter to run it along with my factory memcal and this vid is with the factoy gears so why the hell would i need to recalibrate my speed sensor? You are a whack full of sh!t @ss who obviously doesnt know as much as you can type. jon moss couldnt tell as much as you can though a vid....whats your email ill send you a rant full of documentation and pictures

  • battery light is on dumbass. get a new alternator

  • i would delete this but since you pretty much look like a dumb fuck for posting such a retarted comment ill leave it.

  • ok first of all the vehicles that come with 10.3.1 compression are all aluminum headed engines to run on pump gas.with vortec heads you need to stay around 9.4.1 compression to use super unleaded or it will ping like hell.get the info right guys.

  • You are correct. This engine pulled several degrees timing on 93 octane so we switched to torco additives with a 110 blend, full timing with perfect relability. These heads have 54ccmaybe chambers and flat tops. So no you cant run pump. in this little vid it was on pump tho with most likely the maximum amount of spark retard the computer is capable of.

  • 4000 stall must flush the "fun to drive" factor down the shitter

  • @265horse350tq for sure,,,,the tbi setup just dosent like duration or overlap for that matter. A carb at this point is necisary. Actually, I will take that back...A fuel system capable of metering and delivering is needed, whether its carb'ed or injected.)

I live in cali, so laws here suck for anything newer than 73. You gotta be slick with what you do. (or plan on swapping every 2 years)

383, with vortechs or sportsman II's, adj fpr, decent cam suited for tbi, thats about all. stout innards

  • god chevy interiors are such low quality. i had one a couple years ago and i had to baby every part of it cause it would just fall apart

  • I didnt know Edelbrock made a RPM Air Gap Intake for TBI? Or are you running a carbed intake with a carb to TBI adapter?

  • That trucks fuckin got some balls man

  • @GearheadZ71 can i put a 1978 2 bolt in my 1994 chevy silerado using the vortech heads?

  • damn it!! i miss my truck!

  • Lot of people seem to be talking shit. I'll just say I like it. Better than my beat up old farm truck. Keep on it and have fun.

  • @265horse350tq I'm running aftermarket aluminum heads with 64cc chambers and 11:1 compression. The cam I'm running is on a 112 lsa and is a non roller cam. Sure I can throw a bigger cam in but I will lose the torque I need down low. The truck tips the scales at 6600lbs. If I go bigger it will be impossible to tune her to a proper low speed idle and will only run right at wot.

  • @CreepinSolara

Or you can just install cam with alot of overlap effectivley reducing your cylinder pressure. You can get away with 10 to one on a vortec iron headed motor with a big cam and the strong enought mechanical advance srpings.
