This was my first time playing this game and it's been super awesome playing side by side with this play through.

I loved everything about this game except the final boss fights, I ended up grinding for like 5 hours and was hoping it'd be as tough as Emerald and Ruby.

When I first played it, I remember thinking that the ending was showing that "Holy" did wipe out the human race. Obviously this isn't the case (advent children).

It was a big waste that they made the sequels, especially Dirge. What was funny is that before that came out, I had a very similar idea on how a sequel would pan out, but fundamentally flawed. It'd have climaxed with a fight against Omega, but the thing would have involved a Zanatos gambit to get Midgar and Wutai in war again, Reeve would have been assassinated as the spark. Vincent would have strangely been the main character in my mind, but not that way.

I'd say the materia system was the only thing I did not like in this game.

Apparently there was a female of his species sealed inside an altar or ... something like that, right before Red XIII (Nanaki at the time) was captured by Shinra.

SO Red's species can live over 500 years (Or maybe the experiments I don't know) and Midgar was eventually deserted by humans, why don't they make a game about that? I mean, that's sort of what they alluded to at the end. What else was there to do with that? TO show that the planet didn't get sucked dry? But then that must of happened after Dirge and Advent Children? What the hell game? But on another note, Great LP HC, I will be watching more.
