Guatemala: Milpas Altas

SIDE BY SIDE INTERNATIONAL: GUATEMALA, MILPAS ALTAS

Milpas Altas (means Tall Corn) is near Antigua, Guatemala. A group with Side by Side International had the privilege of constructing a classroom building for Collegio de Saber y Gracia (School of Truth and Grace). It was an incredible experience of getting to know the students, teachers and staff.

What we did not realize until we arrived is the great sacrifice was made by the teachers in order to make this project happen.

Although the gift given in the building is a great one, we always find that the greater gift given is always by those who receive it. Without fail, it is us who receive the biggest gift.

...La misma chava que necesitaba inglés sin barreras en esa época, por la grandisima bendición de Dios ahora tiene un excelente inglés tanto en escritura como en pronunciación y con la ayuda de Dios terminará este año 2008 una especialización en FRANCES.
