The Embracing Project was born when I was volunteering in a juvenile detention in Fayetteville. I thought about teaching and showing them how other children and teenagers are suffering in different parts of the world because they are being kidnapped and obligated to kill; they are the Child Soldiers. I shared with them stories about the Night Walkers from Uganda. I saw the impact and the motivation to help them, and I saw that some of them had found a personal motivation that could change their lives forever: HELPING OTHER CHILDREN, the hope of others became their own hope."
