Madison in her Modified Power Wheels Mustang

Madison's first drive in her Barbie Mustang. This Power Wheels car was modified from foot pedal to hand controls so that she could drive, since she is paralyzed from being born with Spina Bifida. Her button is a monetary switch for safety, so when she would push it and the car moved she would pull her thumb away. Hence the inch by inch driving. She will eventually get used to holding the button down for long distances. Thanks to Modifiedpowerwheels.com for the diagram, advice and support we needed to modify her Mustang!!!

@1988mustangify That was my dad asking about the 1993 ford Taurus he gave me that no longer runs, so I gave it to my step dad. So we were not talking about the mustang at that point in the video and it's too late to edit it out. =}

@memosam69 It's modified from foot pedals to hand controls. We installed a monetary switch in the steering wheel that she pushes to make it go and when she lets go it stops. She can't push the pedal, she's paralyzed from the waist down.

@DerbyDriver20 Congrats! I'm not an expert on spina bifida baby girls but I know mine is an absolute joy. Madi just turned three and loves her car, so it won't be long and your niece can be cruising too! Make sure if you mod a power wheels you record her maiden voyage for us to enjoy :)
