@mkygod - TOTP didn't make Nirvana lip synch - by the end of 1991 all acts had to sing live and Nirvana's live vocal performance on the show stands out as Kurt Cobain deliberately sang "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in a low deep voice. The performance can be found here on youtube somewhere. I remember it well! :-)
