I had been on medication, some pretty heavy duty meds. I was on Remicade every 4 weeks, then Humira, 1 shot every 2 weeks. I stopped responding to the medication. I have another video that discusses that. Having surgery was the best decision I ever made.

I would have pretty bad cramps when I would need to go to the bathroom. I also had very little control over the muscles which would lead to running to the bathroom.

I am doing well cadreamin :) Recovery kicked my butt more than I expected but I am so very glad I had surgery, I wish I had done it sooner! I will be posting more videos soon. It has taken me longer to get back into the swing of things, and we are in the process of moving...so much going on at once. Thank you for watching my videos and asking if I was ok :) Please let me know if there is anything that you would like me to talk about in upcoming videos. <3

@gkgordon I am going to try and get a video posted in the next few days. I am doing well and I am so glad I had surgery. You are welcome to ask me any questions you might have.

Wasn't medication an option? I thought they only removed your colon if all other means of treatment failed.

@edinburgh96 I just saw this comment. I had tried all medications and they had all failed. I was on meds for 4 years before they stopped working.

Is it painful when you have to do "Number 2" in the bathroom if your intestine is like that?

@SPS148669 It wasn't painful really, I just had no control really when I had to go.
