Before it became the name of the greatest, most sacred mountain in Asia Minor, Ararat was the Biblical name of Armenia herself. This unofficial video is a portrait of Arto and Ararat as one. It's a tribute to him and his song, and to an ancient people still rooted in their native land.

I love this song, this video, the lyrics, as well as the way it is sung. It moved my soul. Earlier tonight I heard River being played on one of the Armenian On-Line stations and had to look up Armenian Navy Band. What's the name of this singer?

I believe Arto lives in Los Angeles now. You can search the Los Angeles Times website for an article they wrote about him last summer, when he brought over the Navy Band for a big concert at the prestigious Disney concert hall there.
