  • I am consistently AMAZED at the level of willful ignorance that exists. Listening within the context of what is being said removes any possible misunderstanding...that is, if you're looking to understand in the first place.

  • You all must have missed the part where she said she hasn't been proud of America her entire adult life. A black woman who was fortunate enough to be educated at Harvard and made some really good money in the U.S. is not proud of her country? Sounds like a good pick to be first lady, wouldn't you say? Her husband is running for president and now she is proud. Disgusting.

  • @benev06 dude thank you so much, i thought i was the only one to feel this way

  • s funny to see all these comments. All you dumbasses missed one point '' ADULT LIFETIME''. Because you see, in her adult lifetime, what she probably witnessed was the way Black people were undermined all the time, she saw America put its nose in other countries's business and suffer casualities, exploit other countries, ignore the UN and attack other countries, torture innocent people in prisons all over the world, damn the list could go on. She spoke simple english YOu people misunderstood

  • her goin to harvard is somethin she has accomplished herself it doesnt have anything to do with this country

  • said in her adult life, which doesn't mean her entire life. Should Americans be proud of a country that enslaved people for over 400 years, annhilated an entire race(Native Americans), continues to start wars w/countries disguising the reason as "forcing democracy," elects for not 1 term but 2, an idiot who deceived the Amer people, a criminal justice system that is unjust. Is this an America we should be proud of? Absolutely not. What is disgusting is your lack of knowledge.

  • Your lack of intellect is baffling. Don't refer to her education at Harvard as "fortunate," a mere example of subtle racism. Her education at Harvard was due to hard work, dedication, and her intelligence. She did not graduate from Harvard b/c the admissions council "felt like blessing her." Furthermore, her education is irrelevant to her feelings in regards to Amer. Also, she specifically said for the first time I was "extremely proud." That doesn't infer that she has never been proud. She also

  • Vote for McCain, not Obama. What change is Obama talking about, huh, huh? Don't vote for him. He is the most liberal member of the entire Senate. His score was 95.5% in 2007. Hillary Clinton's was only 82.8%. Harry Reid's was 89.2%. If you vote for Obama, you wan't this country to get fucked up.

  • I love how people just love you to lie to them, what she said is the truth, she can finally be proud of her country, proud of Americans for looking past color and hoping and working for change instead of a place where we preach equality until it gets right down to it. Jena 6, Katrina, companies who won't even interview if they think you have an ethnic name, etc, racism is still around at least she has the heart to help stop sweeping it under the rug

  • Truth<--- thats what this country needs, so by her saying she hasn't been proud of her country her entire adult life is amazing, because it is truth. And because of what she said, if that hurts her or Barack, than this country is pruely shit. Truth is, unless your a flag fucking, bomb loving patriotic hippy, then you have never been proud of this country 24/7 365 days. Having money and being a Harvard graduate have nothing to do with it.
