This lake looks so much like Pine Lake which is in the Clearwater, Pike Lakes, Caribou and Pine Lake area. In the 80s I lived in Mpls and when summer would arrive I'd go to the BWCA. I liked the northern border lake region and Clearwater my favorite entry point, with the palisades, the northern lights, the loons, and the pristine quality of place. Once a friend got a hook in his thumb-we traveled 6 lakes and portages and went into Grand Marais, extracted hook and went back the same day. bbbbbbboB

I have been to every national park in the American West....and no where was I and my party more isolated than the MN boundry waters! We caught dinner...and tons of raspberies....this is not a place for the weak....but so much fun.

I've also been to boundary waters, had an awesome time even though the Mosquitos are crazy bad haha. I would go every year if I could, I think I was in about all the places the photos were taken
