Into the West teaser

Into the West, features the many diverse composers who have called the Pacific Coast home. Works of David Conte, Pablo Ortiz, Kirke Mechem and Minna Choi accompany those of several prominent Europeans who taught at West Coast universities: Schoenberg, Bloch, Milhaud, and Stravinsky.

The highlight of the program is a suite of sonnets written by Michelangelo, set by the dynamic young Seattle composer Eric Banks. Eric and several other composers will be with us to discuss their pieces.
