Okay so I have to get gingivectomy soon after I get my braces off . I'm super terrified of needles and I wanted to know how bad do they hurt &; how many shots do they give you . Also, why don't they just put you to sleep for it ??

Soo what exactly was your situation? I'm fourteen and I've had braces already and my teeth are fine, but I have a tooth that's missing (it's just like that naturally). And right now, I have a clear retainer with a tooth in it that I'll have to wear until my jaw is grown enough to have this surgery.
Were your teeth like that too? Will I have to go through the same process with the surgeries?

im going to get this surgery too and i hope it wont hurt that badly.
i have sime teeth missing and i dont have thick enough bone in my mandible.
i wanna know how much time it took you to heel? :(

@sensitivezebra i believe it took me about a month. longer than the other surgeries. it was really swollen for a while, but now it looks amazing.

Hey, I have to get an augmentation soon due to not having thick enough bone. I'm really scare! any suggestion? Did they put you to sleep or were you awake???

@flyboy40214 i was awake when they did the surgery. if you can get pre-surgery meds to relax, do it. my surgeon wouldnt let me do it. don't be afraid..its an uncomfortable thing to go through, but its not gonna kill you. the shots are the worst part. reply back if u have any more questions. good luck!
