The Fifth Annual Hertfordshire Recovery Conference will take place on 12th October 2011 at Robertson House in Stevenage.

This year Herts R.I.T.E. are pleased to be working in partnership with The Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to deliver The Fifth Annual Hertfordshire Recovery Conference. The theme this year is "Walk the walk of Recovery" and the conference aims to;

Inspire real change Involve everyone Celebrate the journey

This is a conference that features prominently in the mental health calendar. It consistently delivers high quality and contemporary examples of both innovation and best practice, with recovery being its central orientation. Speakers and delegates provide a local, national and international profile, bringing together the wisdom of lived experience and the professional body of knowledge. By booking a place you will have the opportunity to engage with stimulating debates and an engaging programme of workshop activities.

The event will take place on 12th October 2011 at Robertson House in Stevenage. It will run from 9.15am until 4.30pm. The programme will include keynote presentation and the opportunity to attend two of our eight workshops, please see below for more details. We will also have a programme of lunchtime activities and a number of stands providing information and resources. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Places will be charged at £75 per delegate (if ten places are paid for the eleventh will be free, please contact us for more information). Although costs have increased since last year we have not increased the cost to delegates, instead absorbing this cost ourselves. A limited number of bursaried places will be available for HPFT staff, stakeholders, service users and carers in Hertfordshire. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

We are as ever keen to ensure that the conference attracts the attention of those with a Lived Experience of mental illness. We have a proven record of delivering an event that appeals to service users and their carers. If you live within the boundaries of Hertfordshire you may benefit from a limited number of free bursaries. We would appeal to organisations who plan to attend the conference with Service Users and/or Carers, to absorb the cost of their places themselves. This will assist us both in creating a first class event and ensure that Hertfordshire Service Users and Carers have available to them a fair bursary arrangement.

Please note that there will be photography and filming taking place throughout this event.
