@jrsampson2000 More on Frankl's application of phenomenology to the human sciences can be found in his paper "The Pluralism of the Sciences and the Unity of Man." I can't seem to post the link, but it can be found under "bibliography" at LogoTalk Radio dot com.

@jrsampson2000 I would disagree with the assertion that cognitive skills are "all inclusive." Frankl argued against the empirical reduction of uniquely human phenomena (such as the experiences of love, truth, beauty and meaning) to concepts such as cognitions if they would be seen as nothing but cognitions. Examples of truly human phenomenon associated with - but not reduced to - cognitive skills would be the value of love in the mentally handicapped or the humor enjoyed by a dementia patient.
