As Nigeria enters the New Year under a state of emergency, how worrying is Boko Haram's growing violence? Inside Story discusses with guests: Na'eem Jeenah, Richard Dowden and Isaac Olewale Albert.
@MrJnoir I find it a bit disturbing that you find "building hospitals, and education" to be exclusive to"Western" culture or Western concepts. Education, and access to medical care are very fundamental and are integral parts for the development of any country's infrastructure.
@SL4yb ...get some wisdom pls...what accent are you talking about, I think you should be on the radio so you can do your racial thing.... again you wrote..@''my parents are Nigerians''..I don't mean to be rude to you , but I get the impression that there is something you really need to deal with within yourself first, forget about the deluded boko haram idiots... they really do not feel disadvantaged because death to them means nothing
Is this guy an idiot?? he's talking about poverty levels in the north being 70% and that the government should increase education and hospitals etc....if he doesnt understand that Boko Haram is against anything western then he's not even fit to be called an analyst
I find it hard to hear any reasonable point from the two commentators, they seem to been interested in finding the justifiable reason for the act of this beasts. It is ironic that none of then ever consider that the Biafrans/Igbo and Christians has been on the reciving end of these years of this sections genocides, pogroms and all sorts of violence. I think Richard Dowden is a real voice of the UK Imperialist in his comments, so removed from reality. Ask him, Is Sharia not already in the North??
The one from Johannesbourg that is justifying the sick beasts that has ben living on killing, by saying the 'heavy-handedness' of the so-called government will fuel the actions of the terrorists. At the same time he forgot that the same government forces has been killing at will non violent MASSOB Movement for the Actualisation of Biafra, with noone complaining. Justifying the barbaric actions of this evil group in any way, is not only ignorant but insult to the thousands they have killed.
