I was trying to recall why I joined the Army, and the first things that popped into my head were the notions of honor, duty to country, desire to prove myself.

But those were not the reasons why I joined. That was the brain washing of my experience changing my experience.

I did join because in my extended families current generation, no one had served in the military. So I felt it (similar to Japanese kamikaze pilots during World War II) was a life debt from my family to the nation.

How the Army turns you into a "cog of the machine." Standing still, at "parade rest," in a long formation, for several dozen minutes at a time, while waiting to go eat. The example of the person suffering anxiety attacks in this formation.

You are safe in the military, especially in training. The last thing the military needs is broken, injured service members.

A possible career path for males in the United States Army.

Start infantry, and seek everything available. Airborne, Air Assault, 10th Mountain, Ranger, maybe even Special Forces and Pathfinder. Get at least an "Expert Infantry Badge" (EIB), and non-commissioned officer rank, then transfer out after two years.

If you are physically unable to do any of what you attempt, have a back-up job in mind to reclassify to.

Also, starting out in the combat arms helps you socially, people recognize and respect you more for having combat in your background.

Of course you can say this because you've been to war and have firsthand experiance, and you've seen proof that the military just slaughters people on a massive scale, and takes over so many countries. Give me one shred of proof and I might believe you. Be glad you can say anything against the military, because if it wasn't there, you'd probably be speaking German or Japanease, or Arabic. No one joins up to fight for the president, they join to protect the guy on their left and right.

What can I say about this video Sky? I think that basically discipline is part of being involved with the military that means having a deep spirit like a feudal spirit. Now putting it in a civilian perspective discipline is part of our daily lives anywhere we go because after all if theirs no discipline there's no order and if there's no order there's no integrity because when there's no integrity then everything that you do you do it your way whether if is right or wrong do you copy?
