Specifically for the 9-12 year old developing voice, Katterwall's Singing'SKool is designed to bridge the gap between singing in primary school choirs and taking individual singing lessons or joining a secondary school choir / full musical theatre chorus.
Each term, the students will focus on a variety of singing-related skills that will prepare them for further musical challenges as their voice grows.
Group lessons, lead by Katterwall's professional singing teachers, will include: * Vocal warm ups for the developing voice * Rhythm games * Singing in harmony * Sol Fa (learning to sing by sight) * Music Theory for singers * Performance skills * And of course, learning songs
The repertoire will be taken from: musical theatre, Disney, folk and light classical genres.
Each student will be provided with a pack at the beginning of each term that will include all necessary materials for the course (warm up exercises and practice CD, music theory sheets, sightsinging and rhythm exercises, song sheets)
Please Note * No previous singing experience is necessary. * The classes will be accompanied by a pianist. * The class is open to boys and girls alike. * Singing'SKool classes will be held in groups of min. 4, max. 8.
Next session begins 4th May at 5-6pm at Sheung Wan.
