Largely unrehearsed, this legendary recording took place in Capistrano Beach, CA sometime during the late 80's early 90's. Although this eponymous debut was the only thing ever recorded by the "Truck Dorks", and despite the fact the "Truck Dorks" seldom played live (and usually to hostile crowds), the "Truck Dorks" have now become hugely influential to the cult following who call themselves fans. Someone once said that the Velvet Underground's debut album was only listened to by 10,000 people, but all of them started their own bands. The same might be said about the "Truck Dorks". What has become of the mysterious duo who recorded these tracks is unknown, but their legacy lives on. On this opening track, the dorks take something as mundane as the theme from Rocky and turn it into something unexpected, and dare I say, pure magic. Listen for the tight harmonies, the cutting edge aural effects, and the surprising style twists in this one! Viva los dorks!
