@westpsmity because one of my friend had a crate v30 tube and the sound is absolutely horrible. Sorry but i played on a Fender Blues de Ville.

@tjhotdog Take a look at the youtube video where they throw the V50 across the room to show how reliable it is. It seems really durable considering it is a tube amp

I think you have the best demo of this particular amp on youtube thus far. I don't get why these aren't more popular, I picked mine up used for $120, and blindfolded I bet most people couldn't distinguish between this and a Fender deluxe. Agree about the overdrive, I use it on low gain for a great fat clean tone. Fantastic man!

what bad monkey settings do you tend to use for like that eric johnson sound? i got the bad monkey from your store like 6 months ago, i usually use it for like a slightly gritty boost but im really diggin that tone you had around 3:58

@skitheport I believe I had the Bad Monkey set more on the clean side and was using it just for a volume boost. It has been a while though.

Has your Crate been reliable? I was looking at a head. I had a crate palomino and the thing crapped out on me.
