  • Jesus Christ. The guys telling us how to choose a good guitar but doesn't know what type of wood is used on that Martin he's holding! IT's SPRUCE.

  • By comparing Martin with Budweiser you intend to say Martin is a traditional brazilian guitar manufactury?

  • The best way to buy an acoustic (or electric) guitar is to play the guitar!! Not much matters as long as it sounds good and is either properly set up or could be properly set up! Check to make sure there aren't any cracks, warps, or other major damages. My cheap, used washburn that I got at a yardsale for 80 bucks, with a case, is THE best sounding acoustic I've played. It has a laminate top and it blows away any gibson, martin, or fender I've ever played as well as many custom acoustics:)

  • @proskaterwannabe it depends on a lot of factors, if you can set up the cheap guitar as well as you could an expensive one, ease of playing will be the same. Most cheap guitars are set up horribly. I'm an apprentice luthier and I took my exgirlfriends cheap takamine and set it up to play as good as any other guitar. Still sounded like crap, but it sure played nice:P

  • i never had a good guitar before.. i only have a guitar made of plywood. and i was wondering, if it is easier to play a good guitar compared to cheap ones? thanks in advanced

  • 0.0 damn. All these comments are people hating on eachother. w.t.f?

  • @Xenohn like i care if you block me?? you're just some dumbarse yankee kid looking for an excuse to troll people. i don't count washburn's as "good" guitars, but they still have 6 strings an 20 frets which qualifies them as a guitar. i wouldn't count what you call a guitar as a good guitar either; i only play quality vintage guitars which would cost more than you or your bitch of a mother make in a decade.

you're the pathetic one mate, not me. cheers dude

  • @EpiphoneArchtopLover haha i wouldnt count a washburn as a guitar by any standard. you are fucking pathetic get a life. peace. blocked.

  • @Xenohn excuses excuses.. just shut up!! you're wrong so just accept it. fucking americans eh.. if there are no mass produced maple top guitars explain the Washburn D10QSB then?? i highly doubt that the worlds best selling guitar is a custom built guitar.

  • @Xenohn you said "precisely zero guitars have a maple top"

now you say that they do exist?? geez, stop contradicting yourself and make up your mind!! if nothing else, you're just proving your stupidity.
