This is the University of Central Oklahoma's Robo Rescue Competition from April 21, 2009. The objective was to navigate the course by following the black line and 'rescue' or identify the victims (tape outlines of figures) on the top floor of the course. The winner would be decided by the best single performance by points out of three trials with tiebreakers being decided by time taken to complete the course.
This robot placed second in the competition. After winning the first two rounds it fell to Team #3 in the third and final round. Both teams had the same number of points, but Team #3 earned the victory on the tiebreaker by navigating the course with a faster time. Congratulations Team #3!
Frank is the name of our robot. Someone asked if it was short for Frankenstein.
