Good points. For some reason most people dont get the radical subjectivity of consciousness. I guess they are so identified with the content or objective aspect of conscious experience they never notice the purely subjective aspect - the seer.

Deepak Chopra will agree with this as he is the one who pointed out the amazing fact of learning to notice your own being in the first place.[14] He read about the fruit fly and how it can affect its own consciousness in time. consciousness is not confined to the brain but an activity of the pure spirit, which in turn is beyond space-time. ie infinite in all aspects. Therefore by trying to put a definition to it, u actually box it into that definition. Therefore consciousness, god, spirit is by definition Undefinable. It just IS.

Simple, no proof of anything but that we all are certain to die. No proof of anything else ever. Mr. Chopra makes a lot of money doing what he does, no one here would stop doing it either. No proof of anything, bottom line. Deepak is just another scammer like the rest. No difference, just guided by greed and money, thats all. No big secret. Just look around. Very simple. Live, reproduce, die. Nothing more. Just like that pig, or that dog, or that horse. No difference.

The embodied mind - Varela, Thompson and Rosch. Great book, combines cognitive science and Mindfulness/awareness practice to show how these two approaches paints a new and interesting picture of consciousness.
