This has always been my fav rendition of Malaguena. In my teens I played the accordion and I had the sheet music to this exact song and the Boston Pops record also. I would go up to my bedroom, put on the recording at full volume and blast along with it on my accordion! lol Thanks for posting this.
Don't want to get maudlin, but... Today's my birthday. The last time, I heard this exact recording was about 60 years ago. It has always been my favorite piece of music and favorite recording and I thought I'd never hear it again. Fantastic birthday present. One of the best I'd ever gotten. Thank you.
Wonderful. I am looking for a recording of Malaguena that comes from an album called "Bullfight!". I remember there being castanets and a few sounds that imitated a live recording in the stadium, however I doubt that was the case. The sound quality was fabulous. I sure would appreciate any help locating this record.
Andre Kostelanetz and his Orchestra did it better.

Malaguena is old but is not an anonymously composed folksong,it was composed by the famous cuban composer and pianist Ernesto Lecuona.
