Fish Creek was off to a running start this Fourth of July with the beginning of the Hairpin 5k Run/ Walk. Over 1,000 participants showed up for the 8:30 a.m. race time that began at the base of the Fish Creek hill. The course began with a steep incline up the hill on Hwy. 42, then wound around Hairpin Turn, and finished through the shady lane of Cottage Row.
