@coffinsurfer1 So when it was supposedly down for 3 months as you say, that was all the way back in 2006 and has nothing to do with the .se move. And I already told you I know that those members went to jail, it's old news. That's not the topic of this discussion.

@coffinsurfer1 Do you not know how to read dates? "Wednesday, May 31, 2006"

arrested for petes sake. The Verdict - April 17, 2009 The judge delivered four verdicts of guilty. Gottfrid Svartholm, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij, and Carl Lundström each received a sentence of one year imprisonment and ordered to pay $905,000 in damages. They appealed and lost and were ordered NOT to have anything to do with TPB ever again or they would face yet another prison term and be fined another $71,000. Geeze this is all over the net so why didnt you know this?

@miketh2005 Your wrong again.. thepiratebay.se/blog/151 is a reply from the ORIGINAL TPB to its members and people who use it AFTER it was shut down by Swedish authorities. Here is where they admit that they shut down and leaders were arrested and servers taken en.wikinews.org/wiki/The_Pirat

@coffinsurfer1 Also, you don't know the law. No government will bust you for visiting a website, even if it was a child porn website. They have to come to your house and there has to be evidence on your computer to show that you are a pirate and the police rarely do that, if at all. Only time I've seen people go to jail who ONLY downloaded, was, well... never. Only court fines and out of court settlements.

@coffinsurfer1 Post the link. I am subscribed to Torrent Freak and I know that some members were fined, but not that the site was taken down. If the site was down, then I must have been visiting a ghost website the past year, huh? As, I've never experienced downtime. Where are you getting this misinformation from? Or is it from Torrent News, but fitting in with your own imagination?

group that ran the first one. They promised to go legit and there for a while they did try, and now they are right back to doing what they did before and are right back on the MPAA/RIAA radar. My source? Torrent News.

@miketh2005 Then yu have not been paying much attention ...have you? TPB's former owners were arrested and jailed and then let out on bail. The original TPB site was closed. It stayed closed for the 90 days that it took for the original owners to be fined and jailed. Then it suddenly started running again. For the first month it was nothing but a "honey hole" and was busting almost everyone that came to it. Then it started again and the people who run it now were members of the old
as a invited member of this, I know the people behind it and I can assure you that this is not only valid, but located in countries that have no treatys with the US nor can the MPAA/RIAA/SPOA/PIPA/ or anyting else be able to lay a hand on them as the countries they picked, their version of the Supreme Court has ruled that file sharing is LEGAL in that country.
So all who think they are going to do some damage to this or stop it...can KISS MY ASS as they are going to be stung...LOLOL
