  • @dotNSF ... good for him ,and you , but why didn't the old pianist get a shot ! look at my modest effort at this , second half ! i prefer the 'classical' rendition of this but your group gives a top rendition .... it's got that swing maáaaan ! !

  • Thanks, it swings :

  • Great - and not a clinker anywhere. Get down, Norm Field!

  • Que bien! cuanto siento no haber dado antes con este grupo. Tenía que ser en Davenport..

  • It's been a while since I've last watched that, and I'm still very impressed. If anything I like it more; Frans Sjostrom is very good on that bass sax.

  • Great band. All very talented musicians. Enjoyable listening.

  • Great cornet solo. All the group very good. Nice to see a band not pandering to the audience, and playing jazz for a change!

    Bernard Johnson, cornet.

  • xD I'm gladly corrected then, it's still very well done though.

  • Actually, this is an example of traditional jazz which is typically NOT arranged. If you watch closely, you can see Tom Pletcher giving signals to the guys in the band to take choruses. At the end he points his horn at the drummer to take a quick solo which the audience (and some of the band) missed.

(In an effort for full disclosure - Tom is my Dad)

  • Great Music! Another HOT one from FT!

    Thanks, I luvit!
