Student Tries to Rape His Teacher After School

A high school student attempted to rape his former teacher at knife point after following her to her car, police said.

Redwood City high school student David Velasquez, 19, has been charged with four felonies including kidnapping to commit rape, criminal threats, false imprisonment and assault with intent to commit rape of a woman.

Redwood City police say Velasquez brandished a knife at the 29-year-old San Francisco teacher in the Summit Preparatory High School garage on Monday night.
