hope your dreams come true. study hard and set your sights on an American university. There is much said about the U.S. that is negative, but in the end, there is no other place on earth where success is as possible and rewarded like America and the fact that it's population's ancestors are from the world over makes me wonder why more Europeans don't feel the same way you do. Douglas, I hope that you will one day be able to come to the land that you love too. I was born & raised in the USA & have traveled the world, but cannot imagine living the rest of my life anywhere else. It is hard to describe to others the love you feel for a country. That love doesn't go away nor can someone take it from you. Hold onto your dreams and never let anyone try to shatter them.

Thank you so much for this. I am 13 and I get so sick and tired of people badmouthing my country and so many of those people badmouthing America ARE AMERICANS. I hope that one day you will be able to come here. I love the diversity of America. I love how my German and Italian family long ago came here to start a new life. The country isn't perfect. But it's my home and I love it.
