  • Hey,

I'm thinking about adding a dwarf fuzzy to my 28g tank that currently has two percula clownish, a fire fish, and some inverts - most notably a cleaner shrimp.

I'd get a really small lion fish from the LFS. Do you think it would get along wiht current stocking?

    L

  • It would not. The shrimp and the firefish will probably get eaten.

The lionfish will grow big enough to eat them quite quickly.

    Regards,

    Martijn

  • will this eat Percula clowns and goby

  • Yes, in time it will. This one is very small but it will grow into an adult in about a year and then small fish are not safe with him. Shrimp are their favourite food.

  • Yeah they are just like dogs, they come up to you and great you for food haha. Sweet setup

  • would this guy be safe around a good sized maroon clown? and how about coral. is it possible to put coral in a tank with a fuzzy? things like zoanthids and mushrooms.

  • can you mix several lionfish species?

  • @BiiGPAPASMURF i had the same idea but when i talked to my LFS he said that eels go out of their way to kill lions. Sorry :(

  • he dosnt beef with the clown or other fish ? or the clown is bigger then him for now ?

  • Do you think a 30 or 40 gallon tank would be good for a dwarf lionfish plus a little snowflake eel and thats it?

  • @lgarvey i have 2 cleaner shrimp, and 7 blue/green chromi's, and i had introduced my fuzzy dwarf 6 months ago and no problems. But i do have a 120gallon with lots of space, maybe its keeps them seperat

  • which one is smaller a zebra lionfish or a fuzzy lionfish
