"Change is here, transformation is possible," says National Education Association President Dennis Van Roekel. A month into the Obama administration, advocates of public education are finding a new willingness by policymakers in Washington to engage and fresh impetus for the sort of political activism that keeps issues critical to educators on the national agenda.

I am a union memeber and was laid off last month.
NEA has done nothing for those of us that have been laid off. No help finding another job. No help with retrainning programs. No help with administration or politicians to save our jobs.
You certainly have done a great job helping unqualified teachers. You have done a great job giving $ to politicians that don't care and $ to elections that push a social agenda and do not have a thing to do with education.
