As I said, read "The 5,000 Year Leap" and get some insight to the Constitution and the thoughts of our Founding Fathers.
There are some things in life that are best to not be considered living documents.

yes...if we bothered to update things as society progresses, i wouldn't care as much. but the fact that people continue to bitch about the same rules that were written before modern society shows they are unwilling (and unable) to adapt. other countries are able to adapt. we aren't. but thats no surprise since most on the right want us to return to the bronze age. society changes and adapts. thats the way it is. writing something doesn't prevent anything. if it did, innocent ppl wouldnt be dead

The reason the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution is to prevent what is happening in our country today. It is not just "a piece of paper". They were well thought out, talked about, argued about, etc.
You need to do yourself a favor and pick up the book "The 5,000 Year Leap" so that you will have a better understanding of the U.S. Constitution and what it stands for.
Oh, and by the way, the biggest share of other countries, if not all, have their own constitutions - are they all B.S. too?

I never said those countries were better to live in. I just think that clinging to and relying on a piece of paper to tell us how to treat other people is a waste of time. if we really cared about people's freedoms, we would give it to them without a constitution. the fact that minorities and women couldn't vote until it was "constitutional" for them to do so proves my point. I'll respect everyone's right to say what they want but it doesn't mean i'm not going to call out bullshit when i see it.

I wonder of those who are so sure of the number counts, were you there or are you just believing what the boob tube says? Anyone who was there considers the 100,000(-) number laughable at best. If you weren't there and have something to say about the number count debate, I pray you keep an open mind as you do some research for yourself. Now, back to the real issues.

Hilarious how folks keep saying "Millions" when the video clearly states "More than a MILLION". Not a good sign of the oppositions ability to pay attention.
