Spirit of the Sky

I am a writer, I am also a musician. I like to play music that expresses what I feel as I write a particular scene. This song was inspired by the ending of a story where a man must say goodbye to his best friend and little sister who gave her life to save his. He stands by her grave speaking to her as if she can hear him, and tells her that in his heart he imagines her spirit soaring through the clouds. He admires the sky as he says these things, and the scene ends with him starring off into the horizon. A bittersweet goodbye, and a promise never to forget the adventures they had, or the sacrifice she made. The song is titled Spirit of the Sky
