the robot (ROB) sucked nintendo just included it cuz it allowed the to sell the NES as a toy, not as a video game system which was important cuz of the critical situation in america back then (video game crash of 83/84).
ppl didnt want to buy a video game system, so nintendo marketed it a a toy. clever. lol.

ROB was included because the toy stores wouldn't sell the NES without having a "toy" of some sort.

they did that because home video games were not popular then and with all of that stuff in one package more people would buy it
