they dont even break up the roots any When plants are in those pots they get root bound In my opinion its best to loosen up the roots a little to get them off to a good start where they can travel into the newly loosened soil easier and faster.
Just my two cents worth.
As for when to harvest if you squeeze one between two fingers and its hard it has a way to go. If you squeeze it and it pops and splits easily its just right. The taste test of course is the easiest way to tell when ripe
alright i live in pensacola florida. ive written about 10 people and you all have said the same time..the fall basically. can i did them up with the fruit on them?? im kind of short on time lol...i recently swore into the navy
Muscadines typically are harvested in September in N. C. FYI, most wild vines are male vines and have no fruit. (approx. 85% of wild vines are males). You will see fruit on the vines (if it is female) by July. Mark it and dig it up next spring and transplant when it starts to green up. Make sure to try fruit this fall from the vine you want to transplant as wild muscadines are typically not very sweet even when ripe although some can be very tasty. Hope this helps.
hey can you tell me when the harvest time is for these??? i know where some wild ones are at but they dont have any fruit on them yet and i want to make sure the one i dig up bears fruit.
