I think that for minorities everything bad that we do gets amplified in the public's eye or gets attributed to our race. Though I am not much of fan of gansta rap....primarily because of lack of meaningful lyrics..relating to my life, rap is a genre of music that deserves a chance like every other style. There IS meaningful rap out there besides talkin about hurtin other ppl and showin off with clothes and jewelry; I think these messages help keep certain ppl in a state of ignorance.
