Seeking a victory 42 years in the making, the Panthers believe they are finally ready to end the "Carthage Jinx."

The last time a Central Football team beat a Carthage Football team, I wasn't yet born...and to be honest.. I am kinda old.

Perhaps for the first time in the 42 years since their torment began at the hands of the Blueboys-turned now Chargers, the Panthers enter tomorrow night's game as the de facto favorites.

All that established, it has been by all accounts, a very business like week of work for the CSE Football team, which has left all talk of streaks, upsets and revenge to the community, the media...what have you.

As far as these guys are concerned..Friday's game serves a far grander, maybe more noble purpose.
